  Objective
To employ and further develop my knowledge and skills in the areas of application and system programming. I am especially interested in three-dimensional computer graphics and scientific visualization.
Work Experience
1998-present Center for Simulation of Advanced Rockets
Urbana, IL
Designed and developed a custom 3D scientific visualization tool called Rocketeer that supports isosurface generation, slices, surfaces, and cut planes. Rocketeer uses the HDF file format and accepts any number of file series.  Multiple datasets from the same or different series may be viewed simultaneously.  Segmented data is supported by allowing two or more series to be merged into a single series.
Duties also include compiling and installing software packages and libraries on Unix and NT workstations, evaluating various graphics workstations and visualization tools, and assisting in creating the specifications for CSAR data files.
1996-1998 University of Illinois Engineering Workstation Labs
Urbana, IL
Administration of approximately 300 IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Sun workstations. Responsibilities included installing new software, developing new applications, converting existing applications from X/Motif to cgi scripts, and maintaining existing applications and utilities. Assisted in upgrading the HP workstations from HP-UX 9.05 to HP-UX 10.10.  Designed and implemented new password distribution system.
1994-1996 Wake Forest University Computer Support Center
Winston-Salem, NC
Provided software support for University students, faculty, and staff. Assisted personnel in configuring and troubleshooting their computers, accessing the Internet, and using the software available to them.
1990-1994 Athey Products, Inc.
Wake Forest, NC
Production Control - Responsible for assisting in the conversion of the Inventory Ordering system from a trends based to reorder points based system.
Engineering Department - Responsible for handling standard Requests for Engineering Evaluation and assisting in the transfer and conversion of technical information for plant consolidation. Took part in the design and development of a new sweeper line during summer 1994.
